"...Add a bit a value?" "Hard ta say."

I don't have a name for him yet, but this is what the character of my little book looks like with some value added.

There are Still a few hours to go, here on the full page.

Swamp Monsters

I got my sketchbook back!

I apologize for the bad scans, but my Epson Stylus is all I have.

The guy on the left is my nerd-brute, the guy on the right is the balding, rotund guy in slipping sweatpants that is always playing basketball at the gym. Here he's giving credit for a "clutch" assist.

Some Beasties.

Medieval downtime.

Keeping it sharp.

I'm kinda confused at what this is and I drew it.

Just a grumpy dragon.

I don't know that there's enough wing area for this guy to actually fly, but since he is a dragon he's probably not real.

Creepy Vulture.

Gotta have an executioner in there. A big gut can be a real disadvantage when you chop down on things.

Part Carp, part dinosaur, part catepillar? It was an attempt at organic tank treads.

I decided to give the Badgerman a little detail.

Couldn't go wrong with a little Lubriderm here.

I see horns in the future of Oakley Sunglasses.

"They call me...Tim"

I would have posted this sooner, but I had some file format issues/not the program it was created in.

It been mas two long since I made post last!

My sketch book has been out of town for the last couple of months trying to get me into a computer graphics/animation school, so that is my excuse for not posting more regularly. Oddly though, I feel more comfortable drawing on the regular printer paper I nab from my work's epsons.

I made up a little story about a kid with a monster problem. Here are some ideas for monsters...I'm leaning toward the funny lookin multi-eyed blob in the lower left corner.

Here are the first batch of tries for my kid's book character...some are pretty embarrassing, but it took some time to switch out of "monsters and heroes" mode.

This is the final character I came up with for my kid's book.

These are some thumbnails for a kid's book I'm making.

This is a loin clothie enjoying some R and R after spearing the large snake-oid thing he's reclining against.

A spell casting Undead...rawr!

I saw a preview for a new wolfman movie coming out so I thought I'd better try to improve on the monster...He's looking pretty unoriginal at the moment, but I'm still working on it.

A spider faced baddie.

Just your classic hefty native, with a deep sea fish inspired head.

Hulk in the "catching a transit bus" pose.

Bit of a vertical format here...This dude's head is kinda hard to see but it is at lower end of the spine..He's leaning over.

My brother Tim showed me these crazy/huge palm crabs on youtube...so I made my own version.

Getting there

Tim has obviously been using the new Terra Cotta bronzer.

"No can do broseph"

Here's the color version so far, a bit messy and may have lost the proportions a little but should be salvageable.

This is a sketch of my brother Tim, I think it's close enough now to paint, but I'm sure in a week I'll wonder what I was thinking.

Chirp and a Chop concepts

Just an Idea of my chubby executioner's carriage.

I kinda like the chubby innocent guy who can't fit into the the mask. I think he would have a rough time giving someone the axe.

I was thinking there should be a squad of executioners, so here are a couple different looks.

Some executioner silhouettes

A centurion-ish look

I would hate to have my head in a vice, actually I think I should take the vice idea a bit further.

Bald and Yeti

Just some sketches.

I found these on my camera

Done with vine charcoal these had to be erased from the walls to allow for the next show, but I'm glad somebody took pictures of them. They were a lot of fun to draw, if we ever get out of this basement I'm gonna have an office with a huge blank wall or wall sized dry erase board.
