I used to do a lot of drawings like this using the free hand tool in Illustrator. I didn't know how to use the pen tool at the time and so it was pretty time consuming using a jumpy mouse in the computer lab at Weber. I'm very spoiled now with a wacom tablet and Corel Painter. As for the content...I wanted to draw a gorilla and didn't think much further than that.

He looks more like a subcontractor to me (and a safety-conscious one at that (although I'm sure that if he survives he'll get a big ironic laugh from loved ones when they visit him at the hospital and he says something like "safety goggles my ass!")
